Simon-Niklas Scheuring

Simon-Niklas Scheuring was born in Heidelberg, Germany. He graduated in Directing Feature Film and Television Feature at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF Munich). As part of his studies, he also focused on screenwriting, television journalism and completed the advertising class at the HFF Munich. Prior to his studies in Munich, he graduated with honors from the University of Vienna with a diploma in Theatre, Film and Media Studies. He was co-registered at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Department of Film and Television, where he participated in seminars and masterclasses on filmmaking. Among his directing teachers were Jo Baier, Luc Bondy, Johannes Fabrick, Andreas Gruber, Michael Haneke, Andrzej Mellin, István Szabó and Mark Travis. Among his screenwriting teachers were Doris Dörrie, Michael Gutmann, Robert Krause, Florian Puchert, Marcus H. Rosenmüller, Götz Spielmann, Roland Zag and Christian Zübert.


Simon-Niklas Scheuring directed several short and mid-length films which had been screened on international film festivals. He also directed several TV documentaries and corporate films. Living in Munich and Vienna, he works as a director and develops screenplays for feature films, documentary films and serial formats.
