Christine Ajayi was born in Austria. She studied Cinematography and Film Production at the Filmacademy Vienna, HFF Munich and at the Global Cinematography Institute in Los Angeles:

Among her teachers were: Stephan Goldblatt (ASC), Russel Carpenter (ASC), Yuri Neyman (ASC), David Stump (ASC), Dean Cundey (ASC), Vilmos Zsigmond (ASC), Michael Ballhaus (ASC, BVK), Axel Block (BVK), Hagen Bogdanski (BVK), Timo Heinanen (FSC), Walter Kindler (AAC, BVK), Christian Berger (AAC), and Edward Lachmann (ASC).

In 2011 she has been invited as DOP to the Berlinale Talent Campus.

Since 2002 she produced several short films, has been working in the production department for feature films and commercials and as a  DOP and 2nd DOP on various projects (e.g. SOKO Donau/Wien)

She worked as Executive Producer for Marco Kalantari (Film: The Shaman, produced bei Kalantari), Patrick Sturm & Johannes Mücke (Film: UI - Soon we will all be one, produced by EAT MY DEAR & WIDESHOT)

Her documentary “SEWOL – Paused in Time” produced by DREAMLEAD PICTURES won the renowned GRIMME AWARD 2018 and was nominated for the German Documentary Award in the same year.
